NAPW at Opus

By Lily Robles

Last Wednesday night, Opus Design hosted the December meeting for the NAPW (National Association of Professional Women) at our graphic design studio in Boston. I joined the group just about a year ago and took on the role of chapter president last spring. Each month, a different and impressive group of women gather to learn and network. I’ve met an amazing variety of women from all over the state, from dracut to the cape, from many different industries and different phases in their career. While there are about 300 members in the chapter, meetings are usually 10-25 people, which is great size for quality conversations so people really get to know each other and their companies.

Of course, it’s a great opportunity for us to tell people about our latest website projects or logo designs and share tools that we use as a small business with others. This month we had ladies from higher ed, financial consulting for non-profits, a beverage inventor/entrepreneur, a CPA, etc. and we all shared some wine, summer rolls with peanut sauce, fruit and cheesecake… I love variety.
