Tavern of Tales logo design

Logo design for a new Boston game café

There are places you can go in Boston to eat and play a board game. Usually the boxes are piled up on a shelf for folks to grab on a first come first serve basis, and maybe some pieces for the game will be missing. If you arrive with five people, you could be out of luck. Tavern of Tales is different. You can reserve a private room which guarantees your game play and even includes custom sound effects and narration.

Capturing the brand essence for a truly unique concept

Nicholas Chen was looking for a Boston graphic design agency to help him develop branding for his new board game cafe. He chose us to design a logo for Tavern of Tales which would open soon in Mission Hill. He wanted the logo design to welcome visitors like a “tavern” and intrigue them with the unexpected, interactive sound effects and storytelling. The new logo, which has a game-piece-like building, set on a modern, faux wood sign, is now displayed on their building in Boston.
