Founded in 1893, the 2018-2019 school year marks Walnut Hill’s 125th anniversary. To celebrate this important milestone, the school is hosting a wide variety of events throughout the year. To properly communicate around these events, they reached out to us to help with their anniversary logo design. In addition, we then helped create a variety of mailers and brochures, all using the new anniversary logo.Walnut Hill School is the only independent arts high school in New England. Opus Design of Boston, has worked with Walnut Hill on several projects, so it is exciting to be a part of this exciting event.
The project:
Casey McGee, our Sr. Graphic Designer, presented the client with 4 different design directions to review. Refinements were made based on the client's feedback. This is always an exciting part of a project for the designer, hearing how the client interprets and sees the designs created.Walnut Hill was looking for a logo that would stay on brand with its new logo and utilize their fonts and color palette. As designs were coming together, Casey had to keep in mind that the 125th Anniversary logo would be used across a series of events and design applications such as banners, invitations, web banners and mailers.
Casey's favorite part of this project was creating the logo for such an extraordinary school and occasion. A close second was seeing it applied across different pieces we created for their 125th Anniversary.
