Campus Tour: Walnut Hill School for the Arts

Wow, what an amazing school! During Opus’ tour of the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, I had to remind myself that we were visiting a high school, not a college campus. As graphic designers, visiting high school hallways abundant with artwork and was very inspiring — they’re literally running out of space for murals!

Our design studio will soon be working with Walnut Hill School on materials to help showcase their impressively unique high school experience. The two-hour tour (that’s how long it takes to get a glimpse of their amenities) gave us an in-depth sense of the identity of the school, and a chance to scope out some opportunity areas for future photo shoots. Although the campus was quiet since school’s out, there were still some summer students to give us a sense of the drive and dedication “Walnuts” need to have in order to keep up with the opportunity at this school. A few students scurried past, and through the gorgeous glass walls of their newest building, we watched ballerinas bounding across a dance studio space.

From the exterior, there’s a delicateness to the campus. It’s surrounded by rolling hills, roses, beautiful old trees and historical buildings scattered among some impressive newer spaces. Inside the facilities are murals that make bold statements, utilized studio spaces, vibrant colors, rich lighting, and practical studying and practicing areas.

We are very excited to add Walnut Hill School to the list of clients at our design agency!
