Foundation website design
The McGovern Foundation is the legacy of IDG founder Patrick J. McGovern, who often said, “The best is yet to come.” He recognized the potential for information technology and neuroscience to democratize access to knowledge, improve the human condition, and advance social good.
One of the important features on this site was the integration with the foundation’s grants database. The website connects to the database so that new grants and specific information about them are automatically pulled into the site. This integration saves a lot of admin time and also keeps the website content current.
Identity and branding
The foundation is actively growing and was in the final steps of rebranding and designing a new logo and identity when they approached us about the foundation website design. As part of the redesign, we brought this new identity and branding to life by incorporating the new network graphic from the logo into the site. We used subtle animation of the graphic to increase visual engagement.
McGovern Foundation & McGovern Institute at MIT
We are proud to work with both the McGovern Foundation as well as The McGovern Institute at MIT on their website redesign. Patrick J. McGovern and his wife Lore Harp McGovern made a historic gift to MIT in 2000 to establish the McGovern Institute for Brain Research. Today, this world-class community of neuroscientists is dedicated to understanding how the brain works and discovering new ways to prevent or treat brain disease. We are supporting the institute with a wide range of creative services including website design, print design, report design, infographics, logo design, and branding.
