CASE is the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and their annual three-day conference brings together development and communications professionals for a series of learning workshops, keynote speakers, and networking. District 1 includes schools from New England and Canada and draws close to 1,000 attendees. Opus creates the CASE annual conference logo design as part of our sponsorship commitment.
We worked with the communications team to brainstorm ideas for the 2020 conference logo design. The year 2020 prompted an interesting graphic opportunity because of the repeated 20’s. We tried several options to take advantage of the pattern. In the end, what worked really well was to deconstruct the numbers and create interesting forms that come together again. It’s fun, modern, clean and edgy. It represents the convening of colleges, independents schools, from 2 countries and different states. It represents the experience and promise of the CASE conference. After reviews with the comms team, we presented this final option to the all conference volunteers at their planning meeting in Boston, and everyone was very excited.
