MIT Physics Website
The website design for the Physics Department at MIT transformed the site with a dramatic before and after. The previous website had been designed a long time ago with a stark red and black color palette; the new color palette combines bright energetic colors with neutral colors to build a strong information hierarchy and engaging, inviting look and feel.
Content cross-references for easy website administration
Core sections of the site include undergraduate and graduate student pages as well as information on the research areas. Each research area features an overview, faculty, news, and affiliated labs and centers. For the research area pages, the content management system does most of the work for website admins by cross-referencing and automatically updating information from other sections on the site.
