German International School Rebranding and Logo Redesign

As part of an overall rebranding effort, Opus redesigned the logo of the German International School Boston (GISB). With the refresh to have a more contemporary look and appeal to families with younger children, functional aspects of the logo were also considered. The rebranding project included strategic considerations, as well as a variety of other design executions such as a photoshoot, brochure design, infographics, an html newsletter, business cards and stationery.

Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Logo Design

Opus Design worked with the Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Chamber of Commerce to rebrand the region. Before the logo design, we worked with the steering committee to identify strategic and marketing goals. A new positioning statement helped to refine and target our thinking and design. Our goal with the brand and logo was to promote the valley as a four season destination in a sophisticated, fun and friendly way.

Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance Logo Design

The CNCA is a “collaboration of international cities committed to achieving aggressive long-term carbon reduction goals.” For this project, the client team was made up of members of the USDN (Urban Sustainability Directors Network) and municipal leaders from Copenhagen, Vancouver, Oslo and 4 other cities around the world. They wanted a logo that could reference the idea of city, the group’s collaborative approach, as well as an optimistic world view.  Opus sketched and developed several options for the logo design and listened to feedback carefully. We wanted to evolve the design in a smart way and create consensus at the same time.

The resulting CNCA logo represents the collaboration of the world’s cities as they work to create a more sustainable planet. The multicolored lines and shapes represent buildings, people, a birds-eye view of a complex but focused and action-oriented society.
