German International School Boston could not be happier with our choice to partner with Opus Design. The care and time they took to get to know us not only resulted in beautiful and clearly-targeted materials, but in us learning more about ourselves. Opus is so much more than vibrant design: everyone we worked with is a talented teacher and process facilitator, able to help define and reach critical goals. Specifically, when our leadership was unable to approve a logo refresh within the anticipated timeframe, Julia went above and beyond to offer customized working sessions that allowed everyone’s voice to be heard. We thought we were hiring designers and instead we got whip-smart strategy consultants who happen to be artists.
Opus Design hits every pitch I throw at them. They are responsive, invested in our success, and cheerful, no matter how many fire drills we put them through. They work well independently on individual projects, and they have shown remarkable flexibility, discretion, and cheerfulness on large, complex projects involving other contractors. Their work on our MIT+K12 project took a dry, functional website prototype and turned it into a vibrant, engaging experience for our users.
Thank you so much for your work on the MBTA Performance Dashboard. I should tell you that the compliments that we are receiving most often are on the design of the site. You guys did excellent work and have been a huge part of the success of the first release. As we did our retrospective on lessons learned from release 1, it was very clear that your guidance and direction were critical in putting this project together.
Opus designed deCordova’s sculpture park map and visitor guide. The Opus team was extremely sensitive to our timetable, budget, and needs. I felt Opus went above and beyond what was required of a design team when taking care of deCordova as a client. The designers were attentive, creative, and enjoyable to work with.
We came to Opus Design with a need for a new website and visual identity that reflected the vibrancy of our students and the connections between our programs and MIT. Julia and Lily facilitated a process that allowed us to generate creative and realistic ideas. They listened to our input and even observed our programs in action to produce webpages and logos that represented our students, staff and mission. Their design expertise helped us set aside our biases and come to consensus. They set an aggressive but attainable timeline and maintained frequent communication to make sure we achieved it. Working with Opus was a great experience, and nearly all of our stakeholders have had overwhelmingly positive feedback about our new website and logos.
We worked with Opus Design on our the 2011-2012 Annual Report of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Foundation. The design was gorgeous and lauded by our supporters, and Julia’s turnaround time was fast. She was flexible about the timeline, and always gracious and helpful. The piece serves as an important part of our fall direct mail program, and helped bring in a substantial portion of our fall Annual Fund support. We are grateful to Opus Design for making a complicated and involved process feel seamless.
The new MIT AeroAstro logo has met with universal acclaim. In all my time in this biz, I have never introduced a logo that was so enthusiastically accepted.
The magazine is GORGEOUS. Bravo! Thank you for all of the work that you did on this project, it represents H+H so well and will be an important piece for us throughout the Bicentennial Season. We appreciate your important contributions to its success.
Opus Design is smart, creative, and uniquely responsive – open to all ideas, willing to answer any question, and endlessly attentive to detail. Working with you has been a rewarding pleasure.
Opus Design had a passion for our project and it showed; they became our inspiration.
